Is Jiyan still competitive compared to limited DPS?
Jiyan is strong and always available — this is his main advantage over limited banners. In raw damage he is below the top limited DPS (Jinhsi, Changli), but he clears all WuWa endgame and is a zero-FOMO investment. For F2P players who want a reliable main DPS, Jiyan is excellent.
What is Qinghuang state?
Qinghuang is Jiyan's empowered state triggered via his Forte Circuit at max Forte gauge. In this state, his Normal Attacks change form and deal significantly amplified Aero DMG. The state lasts for a number of hits — maximising hits within the Qinghuang window is the key skill expression.
Does Jiyan work with non-Aero teams?
Jiyan can function with any healer/support, but he benefits from Aero resonance (double Aero team bonus). Yangyang or Jianxin as his Concerto filler pairs naturally with his element and grants the resonance bonus.
