Who is Hiyuki?

Hiyuki is a 5-star Glacio Sword Resonator introduced in Version 3.3. A miko and member of the Special Response Force with a deep connection to the Threnodian, her mechanics revolve around Glacio Chafe and Resonance Liberation DMG. She does enough damage in her best team to match meta powerhouses like Aemeath and Sigrika, earning T0 in Tower of Adversity on release. Her main restriction is teammate dependency — she requires at least Lynae or Chisa to reach her damage ceiling.

Kit Summary

Glacio Chafe

Applied by Basic Attack Stage 3 on hit — stacks amplify her damage output.

Forte

When Dedication reaches 300, she can hold Normal Attack to shoot 3 arrows dealing Glacio DMG.

Resonance Liberation (Ultimate)

Her rotation builds multiple Forte resources to enter a Liberation stance dealing the majority of her damage, finishing with a large AoE second Ultimate attack.

Her rotation focuses on building Forte resources efficiently to chain powerful moves in quick succession.

Build Guide

🔮 Best Relic / Echo Set

Wishes of Quiet Snowfall (5-piece) — provides 25% CRIT Rate + 20% Glacio DMG Bonus. The 5-piece Snowfall effect increases CRIT Rate by 25% when Resonance Liberation DMG is dealt. Prydwen: "This set is the best choice bar none."

Best Light Cone / Weapon

Frostburn (Signature 5-star Sword) — amplifies Glacio Chafe DMG and causes Liberation DMG to ignore a portion of target DEF. Best-in-slot. F2P/Best 4-star: Battle Pass exclusive Sword — provides CRIT Rate, ATK, and Liberation DMG Bonus.

👥 Best Teams

Premium: Hiyuki + Lynae + Chisa (Lynae provides All-Type DMG and Liberation DMG amplification; Chisa increases max Glacio Chafe stack limit by 3 and is her premier healer)

Alternative: Hiyuki + Lynae + Shorekeeper (when Chisa is unavailable)

Note: "Hiyuki is quite restricted in teammate options" — Lynae or Chisa are near-mandatory.

F2P Verdict

Worth ItPatch 3.3

T0 in Tower of Adversity. Requires at least Lynae or Chisa to perform at her ceiling — lower flexibility than Aemeath. Signature weapon is her best-in-slot. Strong pull if you have or plan to pull Lynae.

Hiyuki's Resonance Chain (Sequence Nodes) provides minimal gains — safe to stop at S0. Most F2P players should pair her with a 5-star Sword from progression rather than pulling her signature banner.

Her main F2P weakness is teammate dependency: without Lynae or Chisa, she underperforms relative to T0 expectations. Consider pulling her only if you already have Lynae.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Hiyuki need her signature weapon?

Her signature Frostburn significantly boosts her damage via Glacio Chafe amplification and DEF ignore on Liberation DMG. A strong 4-star sword (Battle Pass weapon) is the best substitute. She is functional without it but her ceiling is lower.

Why does Hiyuki need Lynae or Chisa?

Hiyuki's kit passives are tuned around teammates that buff Resonance Liberation DMG and Glacio Chafe stacks specifically. Without at least one of these two, she loses a large portion of her damage multipliers and drops out of T0 performance.

How does she compare to Aemeath?

Hiyuki matches Aemeath's damage in her best team (Lynae + Chisa). However, she has less team flexibility and is T1 in Whimpering Wastes compared to Aemeath's T0. Aemeath has broader team options — Hiyuki is the better pick if you own Lynae.
